Croix de Toulouse
Adventures on my bike
A short and very steep part gravel ride out of Briançon to visit La Croix de Toulouse, featuring spectacular views over the city and the Guisane valley
A wonderful part-gravel loop from Bourg-Saint-Maurice including Cormet d’Arêches, Col du Pré and Cormet de Roselend, featuring lakes, drone shots and sheep.
A bike ride up the Valgrisenche valley around Lake Beauregard and the tiny chapel, Cappella di Chatelet, returning by a lakeside gravel path. I discovered much more of the history after the ride.
A beautiful bike ride from Morgex, Italy, up the Val Ferret valley towards the Swiss border, with amazing views of the glaciers of the Mont Blanc massif.
A bike ride from Morgex, Italy, up and over the tough Colle San Carlo to La Thuile and then up to Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo at the French border
I was lucky to have good weather and not much traffic on this long climb from Aosta, Italy, to Col du Grand Saint-Bernard, one of the oldest passes in the Alps.
A wonderful bike ride from Gignod up the Valpelline valley to la Diga di Place Moulin, the fourth largest dam in Italy
While waiting for the weather to change for the better, I did a short ride around the outskirts of Aosta, Italy. Beautiful roads and beautiful views were my reward.
I rode from Conthey, in the Rhône valley, to visit the tallest gravity dam in the world, La Barrage de la Grande Dixence
An amazing bike ride from Conthey up out of the Rhône valley and along the beautiful Derborence valley to the protected natural area around Europe’s youngest natural lake. And one of the most interesting tunnels I’ve ever seen!
