Adventures on my bike
Distance: 11.4 miles. Elevation: 936 ft.
Less of a ride, more like a sight-seeing tour, checking out the flooded roads and bridges. (I had intended to go further but my knee was hurting again – damn – it’s really beginning to frustrate me now. I’ve booked a second session with the physio on Monday.)
I revisited the wonderful Gorges du Nan, and then went to investigate the site of a major landslide that obliterated the RD1532 road.
A 200-mile bike ride on a hot day, featuring the south coast of West Sussex, East Sussex and Kent. From Littlehampton to Rye
A 62-mile (100km) cycling loop of Lac de Serre-Ponçon, incorporating Col de Pontis and Col Lebraut, on a baking hot sunny day
A bike ride to visit the two dams at Plan d'Aval and Plan d'Amont. A tough climb rewarded me with beautiful mountain lakes and scenery.
A tough but beautiful ride over Col du Plan du Lac to the remote Vallon de La Rocheure. Stunning scenery and marmots galore!
