Adventures on my bike
Distance: 11.4 miles. Elevation: 936 ft.
Less of a ride, more like a sight-seeing tour, checking out the flooded roads and bridges. (I had intended to go further but my knee was hurting again – damn – it’s really beginning to frustrate me now. I’ve booked a second session with the physio on Monday.)
I climbed two sides of Mont Ventoux in one ride, first tackling the easy Sault ascent, followed by the more demanding one from Malaucène
A 200-mile bike ride on a hot day, featuring the south coast of West Sussex, East Sussex and Kent. From Littlehampton to Rye
A bike ride from La Chambre in the Maurienne valley to the famous Col de la Madeleine, trying the tougher route first
An bike ride in the Gorges de l'Ain in the Jura mountains featuring the magnificent Viaduc de Cize Bolozon and Col du Berthiand
A forty mile bike ride in the Jura looping from Izernore, via Col du Sentier, Lac Genin and back though Oyonnax.
